LaneHelp launches publicly across Lane County
LaneHelp enters early public release today as a local civic information platform for Lane County: resources, shelters, transit, alerts, maps, events, quick sheets, provider tools, and live local context in one place.
LaneHelp officially launches publicly today in an early public release state. It is a civic information platform for Lane County built around one plain problem: people should not have to fight scattered websites, stale pages, and mystery phone trees when they need help quickly.
The project was built and maintained entirely by one person, shaped by frontline peer support experience and a lot of frustration with fragmented help systems. The goal is not to become another shiny local portal. The goal is to reduce friction when someone is trying to find shelter, food, transportation, alerts, a map, a printable quick sheet, an event, or a provider update before the day gets worse.
The iOS and Android apps are already completed. Publishing costs are currently the final blocker before full app-store release, and the project remains self-funded. Anyone who wants to support the work can do so through the support page; support goes directly toward publishing costs and ongoing infrastructure.
Anyone comfortable sideloading or installing APK files can reach out through the contact page and a copy can be provided directly while app store release is pending. In the meantime, the mobile web app and PWA version are fully usable.
No ads. No paywall. Just local help, organized better.
