4J still wants international exchange applications on paper by Saturday
The district still lists openings at all four high schools, but it wants original printed applications — not an email attachment.
Eugene School District 4J is taking first-semester international exchange applications through Saturday, Aug. 15. The openings are unusually precise: six at Churchill, eight at North Eugene, seven at Sheldon and six at South Eugene.
The delivery rules are just as precise. The district requires an original printed J-1 or F-1 application mailed or delivered to 200 N. Monroe St. An emailed copy is encouraged, but paper is still the thing that counts.
Families and sponsoring organizations should confirm delivery arrangements; incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Field notes
What changed: The application window for 4J's 2026-27 first-semester international exchange placements closes Aug. 15.
Why it matters: The district still has openings, but the original-document requirement leaves little room to correct an incomplete or misrouted application.
Who may be affected: International students, host families, sponsoring organizations and 4J high schools.
