SUMMARY The HL Quality Control Specialist is responsible for independently performing quality control reviews of loan origination and servicing activities to ensure compliance with internal policies, investor guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements. This role executes assigned reviews, accurately documents findings, escalates issues as appropriate, and maintains strong technical knowledge through ongoing education and professional development. The Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the overall Quality Control Program by identifying risks, contributing to corrective action and issue resolution efforts, and promoting consistent loan quality and compliance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Independently conducts quality control reviews for pre-funding, post-closing, servicing, and investor audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Bank policies, underwriting standards, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines, including FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, and other applicable programs, while consistently meeting established deadlines. Analyzes loan documentation, loan origination system data, and loan servicing system data to identify discrepancies, exceptions, and potential risks. Completes assigned reviews accurately and within established timeframes, ensuring thorough documentation of results, findings, and supporting evidence. Identifies defects, inconsistencies, trends, and potential compliance risks during reviews and clearly documents findings. Escalates material issues, recurring findings, and potential regulatory or investor concerns to Quality Control leadership in a timely manner. Records and maintains...
