Source linkManufacturing Operator II - Laboratory Production Location: Eugene, OR Job Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday (Schedule assigned based on business needs) Relocation: This position is not budgeted for relocation assistance Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Operator II to support laboratory production and quality control operations within a leading diagnostics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assisting with the production of biological reagents, preparation of laboratory materials, packaging of finished products, inventory management, and maintaining compliance with established procedures and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a regulated manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform manufacturing activities including biological reagent dispensing, buffer preparation, and laboratory material processing. Print labels and accurately label bottles, vials, boxes, and finished products. Package, seal, scan, and prepare assays for final processing and shipment. Support multiple product lines and assist with production tasks as needed. Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, supplies, and finished products. Operate laboratory equipment of moderate complexity while following safety procedures. Prepare buffer solutions and assist with laboratory manufacturing processes. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment. Follow written procedures, protocols, and quality standards. Assist with developing and updating manufacturing protocols and documentation. Troubleshoot routine production issues and escalate concerns when needed. Maintain confidentiality of laboratory data and manufacturing processes. Support supervisors and team members with daily manufacturing operations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or a related scientific field. Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience preferred. Knowledge of laboratory procedures and good laboratory practices. Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written procedures. Experience working with biological and chemical reagents. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to maintain assigned schedules and meet production goals. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Work performed primarily in laboratory workstations, freezer areas, and computer workstations. Ability to occasionally lift laboratory materials and equipment up to 35 pounds. Must follow laboratory safety procedures and required PPE guidelines. Must be able to identify and report unsafe conditions or practices. Preferred Skills Experience in biotechnology, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or regulated laboratory manufacturing environments. Experience with inventory tracking and laboratory documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to work independently while supporting team goals.
