We are recruiting for Deputy District Attorney I, II, and III positions and invite qualified candidates at various stages of their legal careers to apply. As a Deputy District Attorney, you will represent the people of the State of Oregon in criminal proceedings, work closely with victims, law enforcement agencies, and community partners, and play an essential role in promoting public safety and accountability. Attorneys in this role must exercise sound judgment, uphold the highest ethical standards, and balance compassion with a commitment to enforcing the law fairly and impartially. Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm *This is a Prosecuting Attorney's represented position* QUALIFICATIONS Training: - A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Licensing Requirements: - Member of the Oregon State Bar at time of appointment. - Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's License. - Supervised Practice Portfolio Examination (SPPE) will not be considered for hire. Special Requirements: - Oregon driver license by time of appointment. - This position is subject to a full criminal history background check. - CV or resume. - Cover letter. - Three professional references.
