Posting Number: 260045 Job Title: TRiO SSS Director Applicant Notification: Department Information The TRiO Student Supports Services (SSS) Director provides leadership, planning, and supervision to the federally funded TRiO SSS program. The TRiO SSS program is a federally funded grant that offers academic and other support services to low-income, first-generation, and/or disabled college students in reaching their academic goals, including college persistence, graduation, and transfer to a four-year college or university. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, directing a federal grant program and overseeing the comprehensive provision of service to eligible student participants aimed at enhancing student retention and persistence through graduation/completion. This role involves supervising staff and student employees, managing program data, preparing the annual performance report, and administering the annual budget in strict adherence to federal grant guidelines. The TRiO SSS Director ensures the fulfillment of grant objectives, preparation, and submission of the Annual Performance Reports to the U.S. Department of Education. The TRiO SSS Director develops services, activities, and policy initiatives that foster a climate supportive of postsecondary student success, and coaches' students in goal setting, time management, self-advocacy, and study skills. The Director is skilled at working with individuals in crisis, drawing on knowledge of referral pathways for mental health and basic-needs support to connect students with the resources they need. The Director works effectively with diverse students and staff from a variety of backgrounds, including immigrants, rural communities, BIPOC individuals, women, young men, LGBTQIA+ individuals, veterans, and other populations historically and currently underrepresented and underestimated in postsecondary education. The Director brings personal or professional understanding of the barriers affecting TRIO participants-including first-generation, low-income. For full info follow application link.
