Job Description Job Duties: - Plan and conduct geologic and environmental investigations - Conduct drilling and logging for moderate to highly complex projects - Log soil/rock cores and prepare boring logs per ASTM/USCS standards - Collect and manage environmental and geotechnical samples for laboratory analysis - Install and maintain groundwater monitoring wells/instrumentation - Prepare technical field notes, logs, and support documentation. - Attend progress meetings. - Perform other duties as assigned. *This is a pipeline requisition for future project hires. #LI-LP2 Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree. - 5 years of relevant experience. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Driving Requirements An appropriate and valid driver's license is required. Preferred Qualifications - PG (Professional Geologist) License. - Knowledge of Unified Soil Classification System for logging soils. - 40-hour OSHA Hazwoper certification with 8-hour annual refresher training which is up to date. - 8-hour supervisory training. - 30-hour OSHA Construction Industry safety class. - Current CPR/FA/AED certification. Skills & Abilities - Must be a U.S. citizen. - Able to pass a federal background check. - Able to pass a medical examination. - Ability to work in the field which can include long periods of standing, walking or sitting. - Proficient in soil/rock logging, boring logs, and well installations. - Knowledge of OSHA/HAZWOPER and environmental standards. - Strong technical writing, problem-solving, and GIS/software skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks. - Federal project experience is highly desirable. - Strong organizational skills to balance and prioritize work. - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance. - Strong writing and oral communication skills to work with military clients, contractors, and government teams. - Good interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners. - Ability to work independently in field settings under limited supervision.
