PAY STARTS AT $24.00 - $36.00 PER HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE. Summary: The Industrial Mechanic will disassemble and reassemble paper machine components according to blueprints, memos, sketches, match marks and/or knowledge of machine construction, using hand tools and power tools. Industrial Mechanic Responsibilities: - Reviews work orders and/or blueprints, sketches and diagrams, to determine work required. - Assemble and disassemble components. - Inspect and measure components with precision tools and instruments to ensure they are within specifications. - Cleans parts with solvents, steam cleaner, hot tank, sand blaster and/or caustic soda. - Machine parts to specification, using small lathe, milling machine, drill press, etc. - Operate forklift, overhead crane or pickup truck to move parts and components. - Prime or paints parts by hand or with spray gun. - Maintain a clean work area. Required Skills/Abilities: - Possess hand tools and toolbox necessary for job, and provide itemized list to employer forinsurance purposes. Minimum tool list will be provided by employer. - Read and understand blueprints, sketches and work orders. - Demonstrate mechanical abilities (i.e., millwrighting, machinist, automotive background). - Meet production deadlines; may change or rotate shifts.
