Halloween wedding slots open September 1
Lane County plans 35 half-hour marriage appointments on October 31, and the reminder list is already open.
Lane County is bringing back Halloween marriage ceremonies, complete with the Clerk’s Office calling them “scaremonies” because restraint was apparently never invited.
Registration opens September 1 for 35 first-come, first-served appointments on Saturday, October 31. Ceremonies run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in 30-minute slots.
Couples can email marriage@lanecountyor.gov now to get a reminder when registration opens.
