4J canceled Thursday's kindergarten drop-in, but enrollment is open
The last advertised after-hours registration session will not happen; families can still use the district's online, digital or paper routes.
Families planning around 4J's Aug. 20 drop-in kindergarten registration should cross it off the calendar. The official enrollment page says all four after-hours dates — June 24, July 15, Aug. 4 and Aug. 20 — are canceled.
Enrollment itself is not canceled. The district has opened online enrollment for new in-district students for 2026-27, and it still offers digital and paper packets. Families should gather proof of the student's age, parent or guardian identification, two proofs of residency and any applicable custody documents. A student's proof-of-age document must eventually be shown to the school in person.
Kindergarten eligibility generally covers children who turn 5 by Sept. 1. Families seeking help can contact their school or email the district enrollment address listed on the page. Confirm office hours before arriving; summer has a habit of making a normal front desk theoretical.
