Florence’s haunted maze opens a book of unhappy endings
C.R.O.W.’s Scary Tales begins Wednesday at the Florence Events Center.
Familiar fairy-tale characters have taken a darker turn in C.R.O.W.’s 2026 haunted maze, Scary Tales. The Florence youth-arts organization’s annual fundraiser opens Wednesday, October 28, with regular maze hours of 6–9 p.m. at the Florence Events Center, 715 Quince St. The same evening hours are listed through October 31.
The organizer describes the regular maze as very scary, despite the group’s youth-arts mission. Tickets are sold at the door. Readers seeking a different experience should consult the organizer’s separate walkthrough and less-scary-hour details rather than assume those sessions happen Wednesday.
Field notes
What changed: The organizer’s dated 2026 schedule begins October 28.
Why it matters: The maze supports local youth arts, but the regular experience is not described as a children’s attraction.
Who may be affected: Florence-area theater and Halloween audiences.
