Front Door Assessment Locations

1. Choose an access point for your household and town, then call or follow its appointment instructions. Ask whether it can assess you, how long to allow, whether there is a charge, and what documents it needs. Eligibility differs by program; the list is not a promise of housing.
2. White Bird NEST lists no fee and serves people experiencing homelessness in Eugene–Springfield. Front Door assessments use walk-ins: Tue/Thu 1–4 PM and Wed 9:30–11:30 AM, 323 E 12th Ave, 541-342-1295. Allow 45–60 minutes. Its published hours replace the older county-list morning schedule.
3. Tell the assessor how they can safely contact you. Bring household details, housing history, income/benefit information, and ID if you have them; ask about alternatives for missing documents. The County FAQ says assessments remain open for six months, then a new assessment is needed to maintain your housing waiting-list placement. Before leaving, write down the assessor’s contact and ask when to renew.
4. An assessment adds eligible households to a prioritized waiting list; it does not reserve a bed or guarantee a housing offer. If you need shelter tonight, use lanehelp.com/handouts/shelter and contact shelter intake separately.
