Report a barking dog in Eugene

Barking that goes on for more than 15 minutes can break city code. Animal Services sends a letter first, then can take action.

Steps

4 steps
  1. Talk to your neighbor firstIf it's safe, try to sort it out together. Renters can also tell property management.
  2. Call Animal ServicesCall 541-687-4060 and give the exact address, not just a description of the house.
  3. Expect a Good Neighbor letterA first complaint usually gets a letter to the dog's home explaining the rule and possible fines.
  4. Record it if it keeps goingEnforcement needs a signed complaint from a witness. A 15-minute video helps.
Anonymous complaints can't lead to enforcement.
