The 410 Garfield Safe Sleep Site is a city-supported shelter operated by St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County. It provides approximately 86–92 individual indoor tent spaces within a heated building, along with additional outdoor Conestoga huts for people with pets. Each space includes essential supplies such as sleeping gear, storage containers, and heating, helping create a more stable and secure environment than unsheltered camping. The site also offers communal facilities including restrooms, showers, dining space, and indoor gathering areas. Residents have access to support services like case management, service provider visits, and assistance with housing navigation. Additional resources may include meals, hygiene services, and connections to employment or financial stability programs. The program is designed as a transitional step toward housing, prioritizing safety, stability, and connection to longer-term resources.
