The McKenzie River Food Pantry provides free groceries to residents of Blue River and surrounding Upper McKenzie communities. Operating out of the Upper McKenzie Community Center, the pantry offers shelf‑stable foods, produce, bread, and donated goods depending on availability. It plays a key role in supporting households recovering from the Holiday Farm Fire and those with limited access to transportation or larger food programs in Vida or Springfield. The pantry uses a low‑barrier model with no identification or eligibility requirements, and volunteers assist visitors as needed.
