4J's international exchange deadline arrives Saturday
The district still lists openings at all four high schools, but it wants original printed applications — not an email attachment.
Eugene School District 4J is taking first-semester international exchange applications through Saturday, Aug. 15. The current openings are unusually specific: six at Churchill, eight at North Eugene, seven at Sheldon and six at South Eugene.
The paperwork is equally specific. The district requires original printed J-1 or F-1 applications to be mailed or dropped at 200 N. Monroe St.; incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Families and sponsoring organizations working against the deadline should verify delivery arrangements with the district rather than assuming a digital submission will count.
Field notes
What changed: The application window for 4J's 2026-27 first-semester international exchange placements closes Aug. 15.
Why it matters: The district still has openings, but the original-document requirement leaves little room to correct an incomplete or misrouted application.
Who may be affected: International students, host families, sponsoring organizations and 4J high schools.
