Siuslaw fire danger is high under Stage 1 restrictions
Campfires and charcoal remain limited to designated sites; portable bottled-fuel stoves are allowed.
Fire danger in the Siuslaw National Forest is now high, and Stage 1 restrictions remain in effect across the forest.
Open fires, campfires, charcoal, briquettes and pellet fires are prohibited outside designated recreation sites and campgrounds. Portable stoves and lanterns using bottled fuel are allowed. Designated sites include developed campgrounds and specified Oregon Dunes dispersed sand camps.
The industrial fire precaution level remains at Level 1. Anyone heading to the coast range or dunes should check the forest's live restriction page before leaving.
