Two Lane County roads will close next week
Dean Avenue gets weekday reopenings and nearby alternatives. A Stagecoach Road segment gets neither.
Two fresh Lane County road notices need different kinds of planning. In Santa Clara, Dean Avenue is scheduled to close where it meets the east side of River Road on weekdays from Aug. 25 through Sept. 9 for a sanitary-sewer connection. KVAL reports the road should reopen on weekends, with River Loop 2 and Greenwood Street listed as alternatives.
The rural closure is less forgiving. Stagecoach Road near Swisshome is scheduled to close from milepost 6.6 to 9.7 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 24 and 25 while crews install a culvert. The county’s notice, as reported by KVAL, says there is no alternate route.
Both reports attribute the details to Lane County, but a stable county notice was not located separately. Treat the windows as advance plans and check live conditions before leaving—especially on Stagecoach, where an optimistic detour does not exist.
