LTD's live detour list has a Monday surprise for Route 28
An alternative stop, shifting EmX station work and months of River Road paving make the current alert page worth reopening before a trip.
Route 28 will skip the stop on 18th Avenue west of Alder Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, while the road is closed. LTD directs west-Amazon riders to the stop on Alder north of 17th instead.
Two longer projects are still moving underneath daily trips. River Road paving can make Routes 51, 52 and 55 stops north of Beltline and south of Green Lane intermittently inaccessible through Oct. 20. EmX station maintenance on Seventh and 11th avenues continues one station at a time through Sept. 9, with signed alternatives within 200 feet.
These are live notices, not permanent route changes. Construction can move faster or slower than its card, so riders should reopen LTD's alert page or check Umo before leaving.
Field notes
What changed: LTD's live alert feed lists a one-day Aug. 24 Route 28 stop closure alongside continuing River Road and EmX disruptions.
Why it matters: The affected stops serve regular Eugene trips, and the closure windows require different boarding points.
Who may be affected: Route 28, Routes 51/52/55 and EmX riders using the named construction areas.
