Two accessible restrooms open Monday at Springfield Station
The single-user rooms will be available to LTD customers and station tenants seven days a week, beside the Customer Service window.
A basic piece of transit infrastructure arrives at Springfield Station on Monday: two single-user accessible restrooms for LTD customers, building tenants and their patrons.
The rooms are to the right of the Customer Service window. LTD lists weekday access from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekend access from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
That is a small opening with a large practical radius. Riders waiting through a transfer, families, older adults and people with medical or mobility needs will no longer have to solve the same private problem somewhere beyond the station doors. Check LTD alerts before a trip if an unexpected closure would matter.
Field notes
What changed: LTD is opening two single-user accessible customer restrooms at Springfield Station on Aug. 24.
Why it matters: Reliable restroom access removes a common barrier for riders spending time at a major transfer point.
Who may be affected: LTD customers, station building tenants and their patrons, especially people who need predictable accessible facilities.
