A free Youth Hub will put three nonprofits under one roof
Connected Lane County, Ophelia's Place and A Family for Every Child plan weekday support for Lane County residents ages 14 to 24.
A young person looking for a job lead, wellness support or help with a basic need will not have to start with three different front doors. Connected Lane County, Ophelia's Place and A Family for Every Child plan to open the Youth Hub at 44 W. 7th Avenue in downtown Eugene in late September.
Connected Lane County's public post lists weekday hours of 3 to 6 p.m., free access and an age range of 14 to 24. In a KLCC interview, executive director Heidi Larwick described career training, paid work experiences, mental-health and wellness support and basic-needs help as parts of the shared model.
An exact opening day and drop-in process were not posted on the checked sources. The organizations say more details are coming; the late-September window is a plan, not an instruction to show up yet.
