October 1 does not automatically reopen debris burning
LRAPA’s current notice still prohibits outdoor burning across Lane County.
Keep the burn pile unlit. LRAPA’s current outdoor-burning page says burning is prohibited throughout Lane County until the fall season opens after October 1. A date on the seasonal calendar is not same-day permission to burn.
The rules also differ by location and property. Eugene and Florence prohibit outdoor burning within city limits year-round, while other areas have their own conditions and fire-district limits. Recheck the live LRAPA advisory and your local fire district before lighting anything; this issue is a checked snapshot, not tomorrow’s authorization.
