Thursday’s free poetry night is open to listeners; the reading slots are already filled

You can come for the poems without bringing one of your own. The Hult Center’s next Poetry Open Mic Night is Thursday, October 1, at 7 p.m. in the Hult Studio. Admission is free, and the venue welcomes the public to listen.

Despite the open-mic name, this round’s reading slots are already filled. The Hult says they went to people who signed up but did not get a turn during its first poetry night in January. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; use the Sixth Street entrance. Beverages will be available for purchase in the adjacent Jacobs Community Room. Anyone hoping to read should check the venue’s instructions for a later event rather than assume there is a walk-up slot Thursday.
