Oakridge mayoral rivals offer different paths for the city's basic services
Ambulances, infrastructure and housing divide the candidates' priorities.
Mayor Bryan Cutchen puts ambulance funding first; challenger Shawn Goddard puts a broader rebuild at the center of his campaign. In Lookout's candidate interviews, Cutchen emphasized management experience and replacing aging water and sewer lines.
Goddard emphasized affordable housing, streets and sidewalks. His proposed housing-and-training effort would require a large state investment, but the report says he identified no specific grant or appropriation. These are campaign proposals, not funded projects. The mayoral election is November 3.
