Meadow View's attendance work starts at the front desk
A new report follows the adults handling both attendance records and everyday welcomes.
Meadow View's tardy slips now say “Welcome Back” at the top—a small redesign described in Lookout's new report on the Bethel K–8 school's attendance work.
The report follows office coordinators Jahon Munroe, Nilma Ram and Kirstin Meador through an October 27 school day. Alongside recording absences and arrivals, they connect families with staff and keep practical supplies moving. Principal Heather Hiatt describes that front-office welcome as an important part of the relationship between school and home.
Field notes
What changed: Lookout published a new installment of its school-attendance series.
