Florence looks at Old Town as a whole
A planning grant puts parking, walking and traffic in the same conversation.
Old Town’s parking, sidewalks and traffic flow will be studied together rather than as separate fixes. Coast Radio’s November 5 report says Florence is beginning a comprehensive planning effort, with public participation before decisions are made.
The city’s project page identifies a $200,000 transportation-planning grant to hire a consultant. Its timeline calls for scope development in December and consultant selection in spring 2027. That is planning work, not an announced construction start.
