Bring a bicycle on an LTD bus

LTD carries bikes on front racks on neighborhood buses and inside EmX buses.

Steps

4 steps
  1. Check whether your bike fitsYou load and unload your own bike. Remove attachments that interfere with safety equipment; bikes that do not fit will not be carried. Keep aisles clear.
  2. Load the neighborhood-bus rackTell the operator you want to load a bike. Carefully lower the rack, place the bike in a tray, then secure the front wheel with the hook before boarding.
  3. Use the designated EmX rackWait if the bus is too crowded or its three bike spaces are full. Let other riders board first, then enter at the bike symbol and secure the bike using the rack’s tire or strap system.
  4. Unload safelyTell the operator you want to remove your bike and exit the front doors on neighborhood buses. Remove the bike, stow the empty rack, look both ways and walk to the curb. Never cross in front of the bus.
