Pay LTD bus fare with cash, a tap card or Umo

Cash riders need exact fare on board LTD buses because change is available only at customer-service centers.

  1. Choose cash, tap card or UmoTap cards start at $3 and do not require a phone or data plan. The free Umo app requires a smartphone with a data plan. Cash is accepted on board, with change only at customer-service centers.
  2. Add fare valueAdd money or purchase a pass at a customer-service center, or add money at UmoPass.com. An Umo account is required at UmoPass.com.

    1. Check whether your bike fitsYou load and unload your own bike. Remove attachments that interfere with safety equipment; bikes that do not fit will not be carried. Keep aisles clear.
    2. Load the neighborhood-bus rackTell the operator you want to load a bike. Carefully lower the rack, place the bike in a tray, then secure the front wheel with the hook before boarding.
    3. Use the designated EmX rackWait if the bus is too crowded or its three bike spaces are full. Let other riders board first, then enter at the bike symbol and secure the bike using the rack’s tire or strap system.
