Get a benefit letter showing whether you receive Social Security benefits, have applied, or do not receive benefits.

  1. Download from your official accountSign in through the SSA benefit-letter page and download the PDF to get your letter right away.
  2. Use the phone alternativeCall 800-772-1213 and say “proof of income.” TTY users can call 800-325-0778.
