Renew Oregon vehicle registration

Oregon vehicle registration renewal requires an Oregon title in your name and can begin up to 120 days before expiration.

  1. Check whether DEQ testing is requiredIf your renewal notice shows Yes in the DEQ box, pass the emissions test before renewing. Check DEQ’s current guidance on certificate validity.
  2. Renew through DMV2URenew online at DMV2U, including after expiration. Print or keep an electronic image of the receipt as registration proof for up to 30 days.
  3. Use mail as an alternativeAfter any required emissions test, complete the application or renewal reminder, calculate fees and mail the documents and payment to DMV Services, Attn: Renewal, 1905 Lana Ave NE, Salem OR 97314.
