Connects financially distressed homeowners with free certified housing counseling and a facilitated resolution conference with their lender. Contact Mediation Case Manager promptly if a resolution-conference notice arrives, and meet its payment deadline: missing it can cancel the conference and allow foreclosure to proceed. Without a notice, a housing counselor can help request a conference and prepare documents. A conference fee applies; qualifying low-income households may receive a reduction to $50. Ask MCM for the exact fee and deadline. This is not rental assistance; no loan modification or foreclosure prevention is guaranteed.
