Looking Glass is collecting the basics through Aug. 31
The third annual Braugust drive asks for new or gently used clean bras and underwear for homeless youth of all genders.
Looking Glass is using the last nine days of August to collect something a shelter donation list can make strangely easy to overlook: clean underwear that fits. Its third annual Braugust drive accepts new or gently used clean bras and underwear for homeless youth of all genders through Aug. 31.
Donations can be dropped at the nonprofit's administration office at 1790 W. 11th Avenue, second floor, during its posted weekday business hours. Looking Glass also links a wish list for people who would rather have new items shipped directly.
This is a narrow request on purpose. The nonprofit says basic undergarments can make showers, daily errands and the rest of an already difficult day more manageable. Donate the listed items; leave client identities and service locations out of the transaction entirely.
