Four student-service desks share one room today
LCC's drop-in Fall Reg Fest runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., but the college asks people to arrive before 1.
Lane Community College is putting admissions, academic advising, financial aid and student services representatives in one room today for people trying to start or finish fall enrollment tasks. The drop-in Fall Reg Fest runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Building 1, Admissions room 102, on the main Eugene campus.
The useful clock is one hour shorter than the advertised event. LCC says these are busy days and asks visitors to arrive before 1 p.m. to improve the chance of being seen. The page does not promise that every visitor or every enrollment problem will be finished today.
People who cannot attend can still contact the same student-service departments on weekdays; the college remains closed to the public on summer Fridays.
Field notes
What changed: LCC opened a same-day, drop-in window that combines four student-service functions in one room.
Why it matters: College enrollment problems often cross several offices, so one in-person stop may reduce the amount of institutional pinball.
Who may be affected: Prospective, returning and current LCC students with fall application, registration, advising or financial-aid questions.
