A free workshop will unpack Lane County's job application
The Sept. 17 session at WorkSource Lane focuses on job requirements, supplemental questions and the county hiring process.
A government application can ask for more than a resume and then hide the important part inside a supplemental question. Lane County is offering a free one-hour workshop on how to read those requirements and answer them more clearly.
The session runs from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, in the Diamond Room at WorkSource Oregon Lane, 2510 Oakmont Way in Eugene. Organizers say it will cover identifying minimum job requirements, writing stronger supplemental responses and navigating the county hiring process.
Registration is required through the county's public form. The workshop explains the application; it does not promise an interview or a job.
