Springfield High's registration day runs by last name
Families have three Thursday arrival blocks from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.; most forms can be finished online, but the building will handle lockers, schedules, fees and calendars.
Springfield High is splitting its Sept. 3 S.H.A.R.P. Start registration into three last-name blocks: A through H from 8 to 10 a.m., I through P from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and Q through Z from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The school says much of registration can be completed online. The in-person stations cover lockers, StudentVUE schedules, fees, school calendars and other back-to-school setup. Students who want a schedule change must use the linked request form; a request is not an automatic change.
The long page also contains an easy trap: student support staff will not be available during registration. It provides role and contact information instead. Families looking for counseling or other support should use those contacts rather than expecting every school office to be staffed at Thursday's event.
Field notes
What changed: Springfield High set the Sept. 3 registration-help schedule and assigned families to three time blocks by student last name.
Why it matters: Arriving in the correct block can reduce waiting, and several school tasks have separate online forms or unavailable staff.
Who may be affected: Springfield High students and families preparing for the 2026-27 school year.
