Springfield's Block Party borrows Main Street for eleven and a half hours
OR 126 Business closes in both directions from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sept. 12 while the free downtown event runs across music, food, performances and family activities.

Springfield's seventh Block Party is taking more than a stage. TripCheck says OR 126 Business will close in both directions between mileposts 1.63 and 2.12 from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sept. 12.
The organizer describes a free downtown event with multiple music and performance stages, food trucks, a beer patio, a car show, student performers, karaoke, face painting and a photo booth. Some extras, including raffle or sponsor areas, may have their own tickets or limits; free admission does not mean every add-on is free.
ODOT's record uses the correct Sept. 12 date and time window but calls that date Friday. Sept. 12 falls on Saturday, and the organizer presents the date without that mismatch. Drivers should follow posted controls and recheck TripCheck closer to the event rather than building a detour around the typo.
Field notes
What changed: TripCheck added the Sept. 12 OR 126 Business closure window for Springfield's Block Party.
Why it matters: The closure removes a downtown state-highway segment for eleven and a half hours while a large free event fills Main Street.
Who may be affected: Downtown Springfield residents, businesses, event visitors and people who normally drive OR 126 Business through the closure area.
