Saturday's free repair table is for the clothes and gear pile
The Sept. 5 Fix-It Booth at the Lane County Farmers Market runs 9 a.m.–2 p.m., with this week's fixer limited to clothing, fabric outdoor gear and textiles.
The free Fix-It Booth returns to the Lane County Farmers Market Saturday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Farmers Market Pavilion, 85 E. 8th Ave.
This is not a universal repair counter. The listed specialty for Saturday is clothing, fabric outdoor gear and textiles. Earlier booths covered bicycles, mobility devices, jewelry and sewing machines, but those fixers are not promised for this date.
The event description says attendees work with fixers on everyday items for free. It does not state an item limit, capacity or guarantee that every repair can be completed.
Field notes
What changed: The next Fix-It Booth is scheduled for Sept. 5 with a textile-specific fixer.
Why it matters: Residents can try to keep clothing and fabric gear in use without paying for the repair.
Who may be affected: People with clothing, fabric outdoor gear or other textiles that need mending.
