Sunday, September 27, 2026 / Eugene / Junction City / north Lane
Two night-work zones start Sunday: OR 228 and the Coburg Road ramps
Drivers should expect flaggers and a pilot car west of Junction City, plus intermittent ramp closures at Beltline Exit 12.
Two separate construction schedules begin Sunday night. On OR 228, crews plan intermittent paving from milepost 0.37 to milepost 5, between the OR 99E junction and the western end of the route. Work is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, through October 8. TripCheck expects minimal delays but says flaggers and a pilot car will control traffic.
In Eugene, the OR 569 eastbound and westbound Exit 12 ramps to and from Coburg Road will close intermittently Sunday through Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. That project is scheduled through December 5. Daytime lane work is also possible Monday through Thursday and Friday mornings.
The two notices are not full highway closures. They are the sort of overnight work that becomes memorable only after the cones have already selected your evening for you, so check TripCheck before heading out.
