A December target for the fenced-off 29th and Willamette station
The owner’s representative gave Lookout a tentative December 14 opening date.
The fenced-off gas station at 29th Avenue and Willamette Street has another proposed opening date: December 14.
Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports that a representative of owner Ron Tyree said that is the intended opening for the Pacific Roads convenience store and 76 station. It is a target, not a confirmed opening.
The station previously advertised a July 2025 opening, according to Lookout. The representative did not explain the prolonged closure. For now, the fence and the coming-soon sign remain part of the corner.
Field notes
What changed: A November 6 report supplies a new, explicitly tentative opening target from the owner’s representative.
Why it matters: The long-closed corner may return to use, but the date should not be treated as a promise.
Who may be affected: South Eugene neighbors, customers and nearby businesses.
