A narrow UO petition deadline lands at noon Wednesday
The Aug. 26 cutoff covers fall reinstatement and regular Scholastic Review Committee petitions, not every registrar request.
For a small group of University of Oregon students, noon Wednesday is a firm clock. Academic Advising lists Aug. 26 as the last deadline for Fall 2026 reinstatement and regular Scholastic Review Committee petitions.
The process includes requests to return after academic disqualification and certain retroactive withdrawal or grade-option changes tied to extraordinary, documented circumstances. Students must work with an advisor, and the page lists supporting statements and records that may be required.
This is not the deadline for every registrar petition. Submitting by noon also does not guarantee review at the next committee meeting; the university says high volume can push a petition to a later meeting.
Field notes
What changed: UO's next posted SRC cutoff is the final Fall 2026 reinstatement and regular-petition deadline.
Why it matters: Missing a committee deadline can delay consideration for a student seeking reinstatement or a retroactive academic change.
Who may be affected: UO students preparing eligible reinstatement or regular SRC petitions with an advisor.
