Rent-help screening is open; the Sept. 11 draw is not a promise

Lane County residents can ask to be screened by calling 541-345-3628 and choosing option 4, emailing help@ccslc.org, or visiting the CCS service centers at 1464 W. 6th Avenue in Eugene or 1025 G Street in Springfield. The page says eligibility depends on housing status, age, income and ZIP code.
CCS describes the help as very limited. A small number of names are drawn at random, and selected applicants have 48 hours to return required documents. The calendar also says dates can change, so confirm the window directly before relying on it.
