Child-care providers have a free smoke-prep class tonight
The 6-8 p.m. hybrid session includes Spanish interpretation, Lane County weatherization resources and practical wildfire-smoke planning.
Lane County child-care providers still have a same-day training option before Monday is over. Quality Care Connections at Lane Community College is offering a free hybrid Clean Air COUNTS session from 6 to 8 p.m. at LCC and on Zoom.
The training covers ways to reduce smoke exposure in child-care spaces, teach children and families about wildfire-smoke preparedness, and review program policies against statewide guidance. A Homes for Good speaker is scheduled to share local weatherization strategies and resources. Spanish interpretation is available.
