Investigators seek vehicle after fatal hit-and-run near Creswell
The Lane County Sheriff's Office is asking for information about a gray or silver hatchback or small SUV.
Lane County investigators are seeking the vehicle involved in a fatal pedestrian crash outside Creswell. Deputies responded around 8:27 p.m. Friday, October 9, to River Drive near East Cloverdale Road. The pedestrian, 49-year-old Justin Dewayne Jones, died; the involved vehicle left the scene, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Investigators say it may be a gray or silver hatchback or small SUV, possibly with light damage to the front or driver's side. The Sheriff's Office requested public assistance, and KLCC carried the appeal Monday. A description is not an identification of a driver; information should go to investigators rather than being treated as an accusation.
