At 70, K.C. Taylor is still putting in the miles
A Eugene runner's new profile follows a long route into retirement.
K.C. Taylor once parked his work truck at Willamette Pass and fitted a 12-mile trail run into the journey. Now retired and newly 70, the Eugene native still runs three or four times a week, according to Lookout's new profile.
His familiar route follows the river from Dorris Ranch toward Clearwater Park and back. Coffee and raisin toast figure into the routine; headphones do not. The profile traces a running life that began at South Eugene High School and grew more serious decades later.
