Four drop-off centers take recycling that curbside bins cannot

Plastic lids and bags have another destination besides the trash. Four RecycleOn centers have opened at Lane County transfer stations in Cottage Grove, Florence, Veneta and Glenwood, KLCC reported Wednesday.

These are separate drop-off collections, not permission to add those materials to a curbside bin. The county also lists shredded paper and aluminum foil among accepted specialty materials. Sort items by material and check each center's accepted-material list before loading up. KLCC reports that center hours match their transfer stations.
