PacificSource plans 134 layoffs across four Oregon cities
The Springfield-based insurer's notice sets December 31 as the separation date.
PacificSource plans to eliminate 134 Oregon jobs on December 31, according to its October 20 workforce-reduction notice. The affected employment sites are Springfield, Bend, Portland and Salem. The notice does not break the total down by city.
The insurer attributes the cuts to leaving the Montana market and its individual insurance business, along with reductions across its Oregon operations. KLCC reported the notice Thursday morning. These are announced year-end layoffs, not 134 job losses occurring today in Springfield.
