Oakshire changes course: Whiteaker Public House will stay open
The company is keeping its Eugene gathering place rather than selling.
Oakshire’s Whiteaker Public House will remain under its existing ownership, reversing the company’s closure plans, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reported Friday. Founder Jeff Althouse described a smaller business centered on that location.
Althouse is still arranging a production partnership with another Oregon brewery. Keeping the Public House does not mean the company is restoring its former three-taproom operation.
