Live buses and transit

See LTD buses moving on the map, find stops and routes, and get transit help like bus passes.

Open transit

What this does

The map’s Transit layer shows Lane Transit District (LTD) routes, stops, and buses updating live, plus schedule pages.

When to use it

Use it while waiting for a bus, choosing which route to take, or checking whether a bus serves a place at all.

What you need

Nothing. Live positions need an internet connection; printed schedules work without one.

In this guide
Source and freshness notes appear inside each guide where they matter.

Watching your bus

  1. Open the map and turn on Transit

Routes draw as lines, stops as small markers, and live buses as moving dots.

  2. Tap a stop

The card shows which routes serve it and upcoming arrivals.

  3. Tap a bus

See its route and direction, so you know if the approaching bus is yours.

Common questions

How live is “live”?

Bus positions come from LTD’s public feed and typically update within a minute. Treat a bus that has not moved in several minutes as a data gap, not a parked bus.

Does LaneHelp sell bus passes?

No. The bus pass help page shows which local programs provide free or reduced passes and how to reach them.
