Route plans a bus-and-walk trip between two places in Lane County. Type where you are and where you’re going, and it shows the best LTD option with total time, walk time, and the next bus.

Plan a bus trip#

  1. Add your starting point

    Type an address, landmark, or place under Starting point. Or tap the location button beside it to start from where you are.

  2. Add your destination

    After three letters, suggestions appear. Pick one, or keep typing an address.

  3. Tap Find my route

    If a name could mean more than one place, LaneHelp asks you to choose. Choose carefully: a confident route to the wrong place is still the wrong place.

  4. Read the result

    You get Total trip time, Walk time to stop, and Next bus arrival, then the steps in order and any Accessibility notes from the route source.

  5. See it on the map

    Open in Map shows the whole trip on the LaneHelp map.

Turn a trip into an Easy Route#

After the map finds a trip, Easy Route turns it into a one-page handout: a map preview, the route summary, what to look for, the destination’s details, and a QR code that opens the handout on a phone. It works on any phone with a browser and carries no account details, so it’s easy to text to someone or print. Easy Route links expire after a while; if one has, make a fresh one from the map or the listing.

Questions people ask

How do I get directions?
For a bus trip, use Route. From a listing, Directions opens Google Maps and Easy opens a LaneHelp trip. For walking, biking, or driving, use Trip on the Map.
Do I have to turn on location?
No. Type a starting address or landmark. The location button is only a shortcut.
What if it can’t find my place?
Try a street address, a landmark, or the name of a LaneHelp listing.
