The full policies are long. Here’s what each one is for, with the main points in plain words. If this page and a policy ever disagree, the policy wins.

  • Terms of Service — The rules for using LaneHelp, its limits, and how disputes work.
  • Site Policies — Submissions, corrections, reports, moderation, and community content.
  • SMS policy — How texting LaneHelp works, including HELP and STOP.
  • Security — How to report a security problem.
  • Data deletion — How to delete your account and account data.

  • It isn’t built for medical records, case files, passwords, or Social Security numbers. Please don’t send them.
  • To make a privacy request, email admin@lanehelp.com with the subject Privacy Request. If it’s denied, reply with the subject Privacy Appeal.

The everyday version is in Privacy & safety.

Terms, briefly#

  • LaneHelp isn’t a government agency, and it isn’t 911, a crisis line, or a shelter operator.
  • Information can be incomplete or out of date. Confirm anything that affects safety, money, or eligibility with the source.
  • You’re welcome to print and share LaneHelp pages for personal use, direct service, outreach, and referrals. Keep the warnings and dates on what you share.
  • Accounts aren’t for children under 13.
  • The terms include a binding individual arbitration clause. Read it in full if that matters to you.
